Crafted in India. Hand-weaving in India still happens at village scale, and the irregularities you'll feel in the pile are part of what makes a hand-loomed rug feel different from a machine-made one. The pile height is 15mm — substantial enough to feel luxurious without crossing into shaggy territory. Living with it

Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
Will this rug shed?
A wool rug will shed lightly for the first three to six months. This is normal — wool fibres come loose at the end of the weave and clear with regular vacuuming. After the initial settle, shedding tails off significantly.
