The Prisma range is a vibrant, yet subtle blend of infused emerald and marmalade swirls on a canvas of neutral grey and off white. Woven with longevity in mind, this rug will stand the test of time. A modern floor covering that will make a statement that flows, stylishly with any decor elements and will enhance even the dullest room. If you’re looking to add a touch of luxury and class to your home, look no further.

First impressions: Prisma Emerald Green reads as more expensive than it is. That is partly the colour, partly the density of the weave.

About the make

Underneath the look, made in Belgium on Wilton looms. Belgium's Wilton looms are some of the most exacting in the world — the colour separation and pattern definition you get from them is hard to match elsewhere. Polypropylene is a thermoplastic, which means stains do not bond to the fibre the way they would with a natural staple. The 14mm pile gives this rug genuine softness underfoot — particularly good for a bedroom or a sitting room you actually want to sit on the floor in. Run your hand across the surface and the pile feels even from corner to corner — that consistency is what separates a well-made rug from a budget one.

On colour

The colour story matters here. Cream-based rugs sit comfortably in almost any palette — they brighten without bleaching the room out. There is depth to the surface — the weave changes height subtly across the pattern, which is what gives the rug its tactile quality. From the kitchen looking through to the lounge, the rug reads as a single grounding plane rather than a competing pattern.

Living with it

In practice, among the rooms our customers describe to us, in a Perth open-plan living-dining where one large rug has to define both zones is the most common context for a piece like this. A handheld vacuum and a damp cloth handle ninety percent of what you will need to do to keep this rug looking right. A good shake outdoors once a season and a regular vacuum is the whole maintenance story.

Sizing

For sizing, the short version is: front legs of the sofa should sit on the rug. For the long version, see our Rug Size Guide.

If you are renovating and want one piece that won't fight the rest of your choices, this is it.

Questions we get asked

Will the colour look the same as the website photo?

Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.

Will this rug shed?

No, not in the meaningful sense. Synthetic pile is heat-set rather than spun from short staple fibres, so you may see a small amount of fibre in the first week and very little after that.

Will the rug fade in direct sun?

Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.

Will it cope with kids and pets?

Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.

How thick is the rug overall?

The total thickness includes the pile plus the backing — for most of our rugs, that ends up somewhere between 8mm and 30mm depending on the pile listed. If you need a precise figure for a door clearance, message us and we'll measure.
