First impressions: PinnaclePlaza Kingston Runner reads as more expensive than it is. That is partly the colour, partly the density of the weave.

On the design

Worth a moment on the look of it. There's a reason grey has been the default neutral of the last decade — it forgives, it cools, and it lets coloured furniture and art read clearly above it. Classical medallion-and-border layout, but the colour palette has been softened so it sits comfortably in a contemporary room. Photographs flatten the surface; in person, the weave reads with more dimension than any catalogue image can convey.

About the make

Belgian Wilton-woven. The Wilton tradition in Belgium produces rugs with extremely fine pattern detail — the kind of edge clarity that holds up under close inspection. Polypropylene does not hold odour the way wool can, which matters in a home with pets or open-plan cooking. This is a 15mm pile — soft, considered, with enough density to spring back from foot traffic without flattening. Density is what matters with a piece like this — it is what gives the rug its longevity.

Practical notes

In practice, it is a comfortable fit in apartments where the rug is one of the few places to introduce real warmth — exactly the kind of space most of our customers are decorating. Vacuum on a medium setting weekly, and once a month go over the rug end-to-end with the suction set higher to lift trapped dust from the base. The pile does not snag, which matters if you have a clawed animal in the house. It holds its shape under a heavy sofa and shrugs off the small dents that lighter constructions can't recover from.

Sizing

Runners are about scale, not just length — leave at least 10cm of floor visible on each side of the runner so the hallway doesn't feel boxed in. Our Rug Size Guide has the proportions we recommend.

Pick this one up if you want a rug you don't have to think about again.

Questions we get asked

Can I use this with underfloor heating?

Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.

Do you offer samples?

We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.

How long does delivery take to my address?

Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Is the colour the same on both sides?

No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
