Understated elegance lends spectacular class to the floral design of this range in its cool hues of blue or grey and relaxed tones of subtle rose or mustard. Medina is fashionably on point with its exceptionally chic, faded look. It's Trendy, but features a classic design, so it will highlight the features of a room without being overbearing in any way. This rug with its contemporary countenance will create an ambient, genteel mood in your living space that will, certainly, be an element of ongoing pride.

Plain-spoken about what it is and what it does — that's how we'd describe Medina Cream Blue.

Living with it

In practice, in any room with warm timber floors, this rug adds the visual weight the floor needs to feel finished. The synthetic fibre tolerates household cleaners better than wool, but in our experience nothing more aggressive than cool soapy water is ever necessary. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.

Colour and pattern

Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. Cream is the warmest of the neutrals — it lifts a room without going stark white, and it works beautifully with timber, brass, and linen. Visually, the rug is doing the work of a quiet anchor — not a pattern statement, not a punctuation mark, simply a calm plane underfoot. Layered with a leather chair, a brass floor lamp, and a stack of books, the rug holds its end of the conversation without forcing it.

About the make

In one line: Turkish-made. We've worked with Turkish mills for decades — the country's heritage in rugs runs deep, and the power-loom programmes are some of the most consistent in the world. Polypropylene fibre handles wine, juice, and muddy paws with a damp cloth and a bit of patience — which is why we recommend it to most growing families. At 10mm, this is a sensible everyday pile — substantial without being shaggy, easy to keep clean. Build quality holds up to close inspection — there are no shortcuts in the weave or the finish.

Sizing

Have a tape measure handy before you commit — our Rug Size Guide has the layouts most of our customers end up choosing.

Worth the cost of admission for any room that needs a quiet, well-made centre point.

FAQs

Can I use this with underfloor heating?

Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.

Can I steam clean this rug?

Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.

Is the back of the rug latex-coated?

The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Can I put a rug pad underneath?

Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
