The subtle design of the Avenue collection features an eclectic blend of dappled blue, green and grey shading, which is both cool and inviting. Although ornamental the marbled synthesis of color will never overpower complementary decor elements, making this range perfect for any living space. Great with wood, gorgeous over tiles, and available in a variety of sizes, the Avenue rug is simple to clean and will remain attractive for years to come. FEATURES:
Medina L Grey Runner earns its keep because it gets out of its own way.
Colour and pattern
Worth a moment on the look of it. A navy rug doesn't shout. It anchors the room and lets everything sitting on it look more deliberate. There is enough variation in the weave to keep the rug from reading flat — it has depth without busyness. In strong afternoon light the tones warm noticeably — in cooler southern light, the palette reads slightly more grounded.
Built and finished
Woven in Turkey. We've worked with Turkish mills for decades — the country's heritage in rugs runs deep, and the power-loom programmes are some of the most consistent in the world. The fibre is synthetic, but the modern poly yarns we work with feel close to soft wool underfoot and clean up far more easily. At 9mm, this is a sensible everyday pile — substantial without being shaggy, easy to keep clean. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.
Day-to-day
It is a comfortable fit in a Melbourne apartment that needs a piece to anchor a polished concrete floor — exactly the kind of space most of our customers are decorating. Wipe spills with a damp cloth, vacuum on a regular setting, and rotate the rug end-to-end once a year. Nothing else is required. Rotate the rug end-to-end every few months so foot traffic wears evenly across the surface.
Which size?
Runners are about scale, not just length — leave at least 10cm of floor visible on each side of the runner so the hallway doesn't feel boxed in. Our Rug Size Guide has the proportions we recommend.
Once Medina L Grey Runner is laid, the room you've been trying to finish usually finishes itself.
Common questions
Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
Will it sit flat once unrolled?
Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Is the back of the rug latex-coated?
The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — we offer a clear returns window because we know a rug needs to be seen in the actual room. The details are on our returns page, and we'll talk you through it if anything is unclear.
