Pheonix is a rug collection that offers both style and practicality. Featuring a variety of designs with non-distinct all-over patterns in grey, terracotta, blue, and brown tones, these rugs are versatile and blend seamlessly with a variety of decor styles.
Pheonix Condiment reads as a quiet, considered piece rather than a statement.
How it's made
At a glance: Made in Turkey. Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. Polypropylene yarns take colour exceptionally well — the tones you see in the photo are stable and hold up under daily sun exposure. The result is a rug that feels considered without crossing into precious territory.
On colour
What is happening at the surface is straightforward. Grey rugs sit quietly in a room and let the rest of the space do the talking — it's why they outsell almost everything else we carry. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so it has real depth in the surface. It is the kind of surface that lets the rest of your room read clearly without competing.
Day-to-day
In practice, in a typical Australian living room — white-washed timber, pale grey walls — it sits comfortably without competing for attention. Spot-clean with mild detergent and cool water. Avoid harsh chemicals — they're not needed and can damage the dye. Pet hair vacuums out cleanly — the fibre does not hold dander the way a natural pile sometimes can. Rolling vacuum, ride-on toys, the cat — none of it bothers the surface in any way you will notice.
Which size?
Most of our customers go a size larger than their first instinct. Our Rug Size Guide explains why.
We'd recommend Pheonix Condiment as a starting point for any room that needs a calm, well-made base.
Things customers ask
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Can I use this with underfloor heating?
Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.
Does this rug ship rolled or folded?
Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
