Spend a minute with Florance Parade Navy Blue Modern and you start to understand why we kept it through the last range review.
Colour and pattern
Cream-based rugs sit comfortably in almost any palette — they brighten without bleaching the room out. Tonally, the rug shifts subtly through the day — warmer in morning light, more grounded in the cooler hours of the afternoon. We have laid this in rooms with bold artwork above and minimal furniture, and it sits comfortably in both.
Day-to-day
In any room with engineered oak in a natural finish, this rug adds the visual weight the floor needs to feel finished. Spot-clean with mild detergent and cool water. Avoid harsh chemicals — they're not needed and can damage the dye. Vacuum once a week, spot-treat the inevitable accidents, and the rug does not ask for anything else.
Built and finished
Woven in Turkey. We've worked with Turkish mills for decades — the country's heritage in rugs runs deep, and the power-loom programmes are some of the most consistent in the world. The yarn here is solution-dyed polypropylene — the colour goes through the fibre rather than sitting on it, so a fade only happens after years in direct sun. Build quality holds up to close inspection — there are no shortcuts in the weave or the finish.
Picking the right size
If this is going under a dining table, measure the table and add at least 60cm on each side so the chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. The Rug Size Guide walks through the details.
Florance Parade Navy Blue Modern is the kind of buy you make once, lay down, and stop thinking about.
Things customers ask
Can I steam clean this rug?
Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Can I put a rug pad underneath?
Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
Will it sit flat once unrolled?
Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
