Smooth, carved rugs in graphic, trendforward designs, combining neutral tones with a touch of blue, red and a soft, trendy green. The Aria collection offers supersoft rugs with a contemporary look that matches different styles of interior décor. These supple, low pile rugs with a 100% microset polypropylene pile are stain resistant and non-shedding.
There is a particular kind of buyer who lands on Aria Grey Blue and stays there: someone who has looked at fifty rugs and wants to stop.
What's under the surface
The short version: Produced in Turkey. The Turkish weaving industry has refined power-loom production to a point where the result is genuinely close to the look of a traditionally woven rug. Polypropylene yarns take colour exceptionally well — the tones you see in the photo are stable and hold up under daily sun exposure. The pile height is 15mm — substantial enough to feel luxurious without crossing into shaggy territory. Look at the underside and you can see how dense the weave actually is — it is the part of the rug that does the real work.
Living with it
It pairs especially well with pale oak floorboards and soft Dulux Whisper White interiors. Synthetic pile means you can keep on top of it without specialist care — a regular vacuum and the occasional damp wipe is the entire maintenance routine. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.
On colour
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. A grey-toned rug is the easiest way to anchor a room without committing to a strong palette. Stand a metre back and the pattern recedes into texture — that quality is why the rug reads calm rather than busy. Visually, this is the kind of rug that does not introduce a new design statement — it ties the existing ones together.
Picking the right size
Sizes range across our usual run — if you're unsure which to pick, our Rug Size Guide walks through the common Australian room layouts.
If your existing pieces are quiet, Aria Grey Blue will let them stay that way.
Questions we get asked
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — we offer a clear returns window because we know a rug needs to be seen in the actual room. The details are on our returns page, and we'll talk you through it if anything is unclear.
How thick is the rug overall?
The total thickness includes the pile plus the backing — for most of our rugs, that ends up somewhere between 8mm and 30mm depending on the pile listed. If you need a precise figure for a door clearance, message us and we'll measure.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
