The Colorado Beige brings a modern geometric flair with its playful pattern of circles and half-moon shapes. Set against a soft neutral beige base, the raised white design adds depth and a tactile element that makes the rug as stylish as it is comfortable. Crafted from durable, soft polypropylene, it offers a plush underfoot feel while being easy to clean and maintain. The contemporary pattern makes it a versatile statement piece that can brighten up living rooms, bedrooms, or casual spaces, giving any area a fresh and inviting touch.
Pick up a corner of Colorado Beige and the density of the weave is the first thing you'll register.
On the design
What is happening at the surface is straightforward. Beige has come a long way from the 1990s — modern beige rugs carry a warm, taupe-leaning tone that reads sophisticated rather than dated. Look at the surface in different light through the day and the rug picks up subtle variations the photo doesn't quite catch. The longer you sit in a room with this rug, the less you notice it — which is exactly what a good rug is meant to do.
About the make
Underneath the look, Turkish-made. Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. Polypropylene fibre handles wine, juice, and muddy paws with a damp cloth and a bit of patience — which is why we recommend it to most growing families. The pile height is 13mm — substantial enough to feel luxurious without crossing into shaggy territory. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.
Sizing
Most of our customers go a size larger than their first instinct. Our Rug Size Guide explains why.
Practical notes
In any room with Tasmanian oak floorboards, this rug adds the visual weight the floor needs to feel finished. For wine, blood, or any pigmented spill, blot quickly with cold water and a mild detergent — the colour will lift before it has time to bond. A good shake outdoors once a season and a regular vacuum is the whole maintenance story.
We sell a lot of Colorado Beige, and the reason is straightforward — it does the work without making a fuss.
Questions we get asked
How thick is the rug overall?
The total thickness includes the pile plus the backing — for most of our rugs, that ends up somewhere between 8mm and 30mm depending on the pile listed. If you need a precise figure for a door clearance, message us and we'll measure.
Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Will it sit flat once unrolled?
Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.
Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
