Size

A hallway runner that earns its place in a home — the Coco Arch Cocoa brings a bold arch repeat pattern and a rich cocoa tone to any corridor, creating a visual anchor that ties a space together the moment you step inside. The high-low pile adds dimension and texture, while the polypropylene construction handles daily foot traffic with ease.

We chose Coco Arch Cocoa Hallway Runner for the range because it covers a brief we get asked about constantly.

Built and finished

Underneath the look, Belgian-made with European precision. Belgian mills are the benchmark for machine-made design definition. The look is crisper than what you'd get from most other origins. Polypropylene is the fibre we end up recommending in roughly four out of five conversations with new customers. It is honest, hard-wearing, and forgiving. The construction is built to take the daily compression of foot traffic without flattening through the centre.

About the look

Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. Beige has come a long way from the 1990s — modern beige rugs carry a warm, taupe-leaning tone that reads sophisticated rather than dated. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so it has real depth in the surface. Layered with a leather chair, a brass floor lamp, and a stack of books, the rug holds its end of the conversation without forcing it.

Living with it

In a real Australian room, picture limestone tiles and pale grey walls — that is the kind of room this rug is at home in. Cleaning protocol is intentionally simple: blot fresh spills, vacuum weekly, get a professional clean every few years if it sees heavy use. Pet hair vacuums out cleanly — the fibre does not hold dander the way a natural pile sometimes can. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.

Which size?

For hallways and galley kitchens, the 80x300cm length we run here is the most commonly bought — our Rug Size Guide walks through how to pick the right length for your space.

If your existing furniture has earned its place, Coco Arch Cocoa Hallway Runner will sit comfortably underneath it.

FAQs

Do you offer samples?

We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Does this rug ship rolled or folded?

Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.

Can I put a rug pad underneath?

Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.

Is the colour the same on both sides?

No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
