The Coco Arch Antique White rug brings an architectural boldness to a living room floor while keeping the overall palette light, fresh, and endlessly compatible. The bold arch repeat in soft antique white sits over a high-low pile construction that gives the design genuine physical presence — this is a rug you notice and appreciate in equal measure.

We get asked for rugs like Coco Arch Antique White Modern more often than almost any other style.

On colour

Worth a moment on the look of it. Cream is the warmest of the neutrals — it lifts a room without going stark white, and it works beautifully with timber, brass, and linen. Visually, the rug is doing the work of a quiet anchor — not a pattern statement, not a punctuation mark, simply a calm plane underfoot. The longer you sit in a room with this rug, the less you notice it — which is exactly what a good rug is meant to do.

Practical notes

In practice, we see this style most often in a Sandy Bay heritage cottage where the floorboards are old and the rug has to soften everything underfoot. Avoid steam, avoid bleach, avoid solvent cleaners. Cool water and mild detergent is the protocol our family uses on every poly rug we own. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.

What's under the surface

In one line: Belgian Wilton-woven. The Wilton tradition in Belgium produces rugs with extremely fine pattern detail — the kind of edge clarity that holds up under close inspection. Lightweight, water-resistant, mould-resistant, and quietly comfortable underfoot — polypropylene is the rug fibre that does the most with the least. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.

On sizing

A 200x290cm covers most three-seater living rooms; a 240x330cm suits the larger open-plan layouts that have become common in new Australian builds. Our Rug Size Guide shows you which fits.

We back this one for the buyer who would rather move on with the rest of the renovation than keep deliberating.

Things customers ask

Will the rug fade in direct sun?

Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.

Can I use this with underfloor heating?

Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Is the colour the same on both sides?

No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.

Can I steam clean this rug?

Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.
