Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. Cream-based rugs sit comfortably in almost any palette — they brighten without bleaching the room out. There is enough variation in the weave to keep the rug from reading flat — it has depth without busyness. It plays nicely with a low timber coffee table, a linen sofa, and the kind of considered clutter most lived-in rooms accumulate.
About the make
At a glance: Made in Belgium on Wilton looms. Belgium's Wilton looms are some of the most exacting in the world — the colour separation and pattern definition you get from them is hard to match elsewhere. The fibre is synthetic, but the modern poly yarns we work with feel close to soft wool underfoot and clean up far more easily. The pile sits at 6mm, which is firmly in flatweave territory — dense, hard-wearing, and friendly to a vacuum. Run your hand across the surface and the pile feels even from corner to corner — that consistency is what separates a well-made rug from a budget one.
Living with it
Day to day, built for indoor-outdoor use — the flat construction handles weather, the dye is UV-stabilised, and a hose-down sees off most of what an Australian summer can throw at it. Wipe spills with a damp cloth, vacuum on a regular setting, and rotate the rug end-to-end once a year. Nothing else is required. It holds its shape under a heavy sofa and shrugs off the small dents that lighter constructions can't recover from.

Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — we offer a clear returns window because we know a rug needs to be seen in the actual room. The details are on our returns page, and we'll talk you through it if anything is unclear.
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
