Introducing the Montana collection, a stunning range of tropical-inspired rugs that are designed to bring a splash of color to your indoor or outdoor space. The collection features an array of bold and vibrant patterns, from exotic flora and fauna to abstract designs, all bathed in bright hues that are sure to dazzle and delight.
We picked Montana Diamond for the range because it sits comfortably in the kind of homes most of our customers actually live in.
About the look
The colour story matters here. Beige is the most forgiving floor colour we carry — it hides dust, dog hair, and the small disasters of daily life better than almost any other shade. Stand a metre back and the pattern recedes into texture — that quality is why the rug reads calm rather than busy. Visually, this is the kind of rug that does not introduce a new design statement — it ties the existing ones together.
Built and finished
In one line: Produced for genuine everyday wear. What matters with this piece is the construction — it's made to take real family use without fuss. Polypropylene doesn't fade in our harsh Australian sun the way some natural fibres do, and it's the reason we trust it in living rooms with northern light. At 6mm the pile is short and tight — the structure underneath is doing most of the work, which is what gives a flatweave its longevity. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.
Picking the right size
For sizing, the short version is: front legs of the sofa should sit on the rug. For the long version, see our Rug Size Guide.
Practical notes
In practice, designed for patios, decks, and verandas. Leave it out year-round in most parts of Australia and it will hold its colour through the worst of the sun. Avoid steam, avoid bleach, avoid solvent cleaners. Cool water and mild detergent is the protocol our family uses on every poly rug we own. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.
If you want a rug that quietly carries its weight for years, Montana Diamond is the one to consider.
Things customers ask
How do I get rid of a stain?
Hose it down. If the spill is something serious, a mild detergent and a soft brush will get the rest, and the sun finishes the job.
Does this rug ship rolled or folded?
Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — we offer a clear returns window because we know a rug needs to be seen in the actual room. The details are on our returns page, and we'll talk you through it if anything is unclear.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
