There are very few colour combinations in interior design as quietly sophisticated as soft jade and grey mist together, and the Novaro Jade Mist rug uses exactly this palette to create a traditional rug that feels both classical and completely contemporary. The traditional medallion pattern sits beautifully in soft green and mist tones, and the machine washable construction makes it a genuine daily-living choice.

Our customers find Novaro Jade Mist Traditional the way most people find a good rug — by elimination.

How it looks

Worth a moment on the look of it. Cream-based rugs sit comfortably in almost any palette — they brighten without bleaching the room out. The pattern is broken just enough at the surface to keep the visual rhythm interesting without ever feeling busy. From the kitchen looking through to the lounge, the rug reads as a single grounding plane rather than a competing pattern.

Practical notes

It earns its keep in any room that has dark hardwood floors as a starting point. Polyester takes well to spot-cleaning — a damp cloth, cool water, and mild detergent will handle most everyday spills. Drag a chair, drop a fork, knock over the wine — this construction tolerates all three.

How it's made

Underneath the look, Turkish-made. The Turkish weaving industry has refined power-loom production to a point where the result is genuinely close to the look of a traditionally woven rug. We like polyester for shaggies and luxe-pile pieces because it takes deep colour beautifully and stays soft over years of use. The result is a rug that feels considered without crossing into precious territory.

Which size?

A 200x290cm covers most three-seater living rooms; a 240x330cm suits the larger open-plan layouts that have become common in new Australian builds. Our Rug Size Guide shows you which fits.

Worth a place in your living room if you want the kind of piece that looks better six months in.

Questions we get asked

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Will the pattern repeat be obvious?

Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.

Does this rug ship rolled or folded?

Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.

Is the back of the rug latex-coated?

The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.

Will this rug shed?

No, not in the meaningful sense. Synthetic pile is heat-set rather than spun from short staple fibres, so you may see a small amount of fibre in the first week and very little after that.
