Experience the sumptuous luxury of sinking into the soft, silky fibres of our Lido Collection of rugs. Constructed from a fine blend of microfiber polyester and super soft microset, polypropylene yarn, these deep-pile woven floor-coverings are easy on the eye, easy to clean and ultra hard-wearing. With their Berber (North African) influenced, geometric patterns and solid colouring, they’ll always be the perfect foil for any setting, either contemporary or traditional. Additionally, these rugs are fibre -fast, meaning that they’re non-static and never shed their pile. Deflecting a rich, lustrous sheen, Scandanavianrugs, are reminiscent of of the shimmer radiating from a pool of sunlit water. Spectacular with any decor, these ambient rugs are bound to be part of your home for many years to come.

Pick up a corner of Scandanavian Pebble and the density of the weave is the first thing you'll register.

On the design

What is happening at the surface is straightforward. There's a reason grey has been the default neutral of the last decade — it forgives, it cools, and it lets coloured furniture and art read clearly above it. There is depth to the surface — the weave changes height subtly across the pattern, which is what gives the rug its tactile quality. It plays nicely with a low timber coffee table, a linen sofa, and the kind of considered clutter most lived-in rooms accumulate.

About the make

The short version: Produced in Belgium. The Wilton tradition in Belgium produces rugs with extremely fine pattern detail — the kind of edge clarity that holds up under close inspection. The fibre is synthetic, but the modern poly yarns we work with feel close to soft wool underfoot and clean up far more easily. At 17mm, the pile is on the plusher side of our range — it has the kind of give that makes a bedroom rug worth waking up to. Look at the underside and you can see how dense the weave actually is — it is the part of the rug that does the real work.

Picking the right size

Have a tape measure handy before you commit — our Rug Size Guide has the layouts most of our customers end up choosing.

Living with it

We see this style most often in Hamptons-inspired interiors that lean on a soft, neutral palette. Vacuum on a medium setting weekly, and once a month go over the rug end-to-end with the suction set higher to lift trapped dust from the base. It tolerates open doors, indoor-outdoor traffic, and the dust that an Australian summer drags in across a polished concrete floor.

If you are renovating and want one piece that won't fight the rest of your choices, this is it.

FAQs

Does it work with a robot vacuum?

Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.

Can I put a rug pad underneath?

Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Will it cope with kids and pets?

Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.

Will the pattern repeat be obvious?

Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
