On colour
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. A grey-toned rug is the easiest way to anchor a room without committing to a strong palette. Visually, the rug is doing the work of a quiet anchor — not a pattern statement, not a punctuation mark, simply a calm plane underfoot. The design is balanced enough to centre a coffee table and quiet enough to let a strong artwork dominate above it.

Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. There is a reason every major Australian rug retailer leans on polypropylene for family-room pieces — nothing else combines this much durability with this little fuss. This is a 18mm pile — soft, considered, with enough density to spring back from foot traffic without flattening. The back of the rug shows the construction clearly — close, even stitching, no slack spots, no thin patches.
Practical notes
Day to day, in a typical Australian living room — pale oak floorboards, high white walls with skirting in cream — it sits comfortably without competing for attention. For wine, blood, or any pigmented spill, blot quickly with cold water and a mild detergent — the colour will lift before it has time to bond. We have laid one of these under our own dining table for several years; it still reads as new.

How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Can I put a rug pad underneath?
Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
Is the back of the rug latex-coated?
The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.
Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
