Pull Tango Latte out of its wrapping in your living room and the first thing that registers is the weight of it.
Built and finished
At a glance: Belgian Wilton-woven. Belgium's Wilton looms are some of the most exacting in the world — the colour separation and pattern definition you get from them is hard to match elsewhere. Polypropylene doesn't fade in our harsh Australian sun the way some natural fibres do, and it's the reason we trust it in living rooms with northern light. At 19mm of pile, this is a true sink-your-feet-in shaggy. Build quality holds up to close inspection — there are no shortcuts in the weave or the finish.
Colour and pattern
Worth a moment on the look of it. There's a reason grey has been the default neutral of the last decade — it forgives, it cools, and it lets coloured furniture and art read clearly above it. Look at the surface in different light through the day and the rug picks up subtle variations the photo doesn't quite catch. Layered with a leather chair, a brass floor lamp, and a stack of books, the rug holds its end of the conversation without forcing it.
How it handles real life
In practice, this is the kind of piece that works in the master bedroom of a coastal NSW home, where the rug is the first thing your feet touch in the morning. Vacuum on a medium setting weekly, and once a month go over the rug end-to-end with the suction set higher to lift trapped dust from the base. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.
Sizing
A 200x290cm covers most three-seater living rooms; a 240x330cm suits the larger open-plan layouts that have become common in new Australian builds. Our Rug Size Guide shows you which fits.
Order Tango Latte if the room is asking for a quiet, well-made foundation rather than a feature piece.
Things customers ask
Do you offer samples?
We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.
How do I get rid of a stain?
Blot — never rub. Cool water and a small amount of mild detergent on a clean cloth handles most spills. Work from the outside of the stain in. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
