The Tango Diamond range of rugs is available in grey and latte, neutral shades that compliment the rug’s contemporary design. Tango features a shaggy pile that radiates an ambient air of relaxation and comfort. A luxurious piece that feels as good underfoot as it looks. This fashionable rug is great for bedrooms and living rooms, any space that needs a dash of extravagance.
We get asked for rugs like Tango Diamond Latte more often than almost any other style.
On the design
Worth a moment on the look of it. Beige is the most forgiving floor colour we carry — it hides dust, dog hair, and the small disasters of daily life better than almost any other shade. Visually, the rug is doing the work of a quiet anchor — not a pattern statement, not a punctuation mark, simply a calm plane underfoot. Up close, you can see how the colour shifts slightly across the pile — that subtle variation is what stops the surface looking printed.
What's under the surface
The short version: Woven in Belgium. Belgian mills are the benchmark for machine-made design definition. The look is crisper than what you'd get from most other origins. Heat-set polypropylene yarns hold their twist for years — that is what stops the pile flattening under a coffee table or sofa leg. A 19mm pile reads as genuinely luxurious — we recommend it for bedrooms and formal lounges rather than high-traffic dining areas. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.
Practical notes
Day to day, it is a comfortable fit in a renovated 1920s terrace in Paddington where the bones of the room are doing the heavy lifting — exactly the kind of space most of our customers are decorating. Cleaning protocol is intentionally simple: blot fresh spills, vacuum weekly, get a professional clean every few years if it sees heavy use. Rug pad underneath on a hard floor — that is the one accessory we would not skip.
Sizing
If this is going under a dining table, measure the table and add at least 60cm on each side so the chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. The Rug Size Guide walks through the details.
If the rest of your room is settled, Tango Diamond Latte will not unsettle it.
Things customers ask
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
Will this rug shed?
No, not in the meaningful sense. Synthetic pile is heat-set rather than spun from short staple fibres, so you may see a small amount of fibre in the first week and very little after that.
Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Is the back of the rug latex-coated?
The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.
