Plain-spoken about what it is and what it does — that's how we'd describe Tango Snow White.
On the design
Worth a moment on the look of it. True white is a brave choice in a family home, but in the right room — a master bedroom, a low-traffic formal living space — nothing else has quite the same lift. The pattern is broken just enough at the surface to keep the visual rhythm interesting without ever feeling busy. From above, the surface has a quiet visual rhythm — close up, the construction details start to show.
What's under the surface
At a glance: Woven in Belgium. Belgian mills are the benchmark for machine-made design definition. The look is crisper than what you'd get from most other origins. Lightweight, water-resistant, mould-resistant, and quietly comfortable underfoot — polypropylene is the rug fibre that does the most with the least. At 19mm of pile, this is a true sink-your-feet-in shaggy. Run your hand across the surface and the pile feels even from corner to corner — that consistency is what separates a well-made rug from a budget one.

Practical notes
In a real Australian room, this is the kind of piece that works in a Mornington Peninsula holiday house where the rug rotates between living rooms with the seasons. For wine, blood, or any pigmented spill, blot quickly with cold water and a mild detergent — the colour will lift before it has time to bond. Pet hair vacuums out cleanly — the fibre does not hold dander the way a natural pile sometimes can. Rug pad underneath on a hard floor — that is the one accessory we would not skip.
If you want a rug that looks like it has always lived there, this is the one.
Things customers ask
Is the back of the rug latex-coated?
The backing is a standard textile finish — it sits flat on the floor and won't mark timber boards. For hard floors, we'd still recommend a rug pad to keep it from sliding.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
