How it's made
Underneath the look, Anatolian-woven. Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. Polyester yarns hold dye exceptionally well, which is why the colours on this piece look as rich as they do. The pile height is 13mm — substantial enough to feel luxurious without crossing into shaggy territory. The construction is built to take the daily compression of foot traffic without flattening through the centre.
Picking the right size

Practical notes
It earns its keep in any room that has polished concrete floors as a starting point. Polyester takes well to spot-cleaning — a damp cloth, cool water, and mild detergent will handle most everyday spills. Vacuum once a week, spot-treat the inevitable accidents, and the rug does not ask for anything else.

Common questions
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Do you offer samples?
We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.
Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
