How it's made
At a glance: Belgian-woven. Belgium's Wilton looms are some of the most exacting in the world — the colour separation and pattern definition you get from them is hard to match elsewhere. Polypropylene is the workhorse fibre of modern rugs — it doesn't absorb spills, it doesn't hold dust, and it bounces back from foot traffic faster than wool. At 6mm the pile is short and tight — the structure underneath is doing most of the work, which is what gives a flatweave its longevity. The result is a rug that feels considered without crossing into precious territory.
Living with it
In practice, designed for patios, decks, and verandas. Leave it out year-round in most parts of Australia and it will hold its colour through the worst of the sun. It will not stain the way a wool or cotton rug can — wine, juice, and pet accidents lift with a damp cloth if you get to them within a reasonable window. It holds its shape under a heavy sofa and shrugs off the small dents that lighter constructions can't recover from.
Colour and pattern
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. True white is a brave choice in a family home, but in the right room — a master bedroom, a low-traffic formal living space — nothing else has quite the same lift. The pattern reads cleanly from across the room and only reveals its detail close up. Layered over a hard floor, it gives a room the visual weight it usually needs at floor level.

Can I steam clean this rug?
Yes, but a hose is usually faster and just as effective.
Does this rug ship rolled or folded?
Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.
Can I use this with underfloor heating?
Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
How do I get rid of a stain?
Hose it down. If the spill is something serious, a mild detergent and a soft brush will get the rest, and the sun finishes the job.
