The Decora range abounds with beautiful, delicate, floral designs that celebrate the clever combination of well-coordinated colour with exciting texture. These rugs, with their vibrancy, are certain to light up even the dullest of spaces. Detailed enough to set off the simplest of furnishings, these rugs are nevertheless subtle enough to blend well in most living areas. Experience the pleasure of traditional design with modern-day resilience, a floor-piece that is eye-catching, but practical in every sense.
Some rugs need to be sold; Decora Runner Beige sells itself once you see it in person.
Construction
Underneath the look, produced in Belgium. Belgium's Wilton looms are some of the most exacting in the world — the colour separation and pattern definition you get from them is hard to match elsewhere. Polypropylene is the fibre we end up recommending in roughly four out of five conversations with new customers. It is honest, hard-wearing, and forgiving. This is a 15mm pile — soft, considered, with enough density to spring back from foot traffic without flattening. The result is a rug that feels considered without crossing into precious territory.
Colour and pattern
Worth a moment on the look of it. Beige has come a long way from the 1990s — modern beige rugs carry a warm, taupe-leaning tone that reads sophisticated rather than dated. The medallion pattern at the centre is a clear nod to traditional rug-weaving — softened here so it reads quietly rather than ornate. We have laid this in rooms with bold artwork above and minimal furniture, and it sits comfortably in both.
Practical notes
In a real Australian room, it pairs especially well with warm timber floors and high white walls with skirting in cream. Cleaning protocol is intentionally simple: blot fresh spills, vacuum weekly, get a professional clean every few years if it sees heavy use. Rug pad underneath on a hard floor — that is the one accessory we would not skip.
Picking the right size
For hallways and galley kitchens, the 80x300cm length we run here is the most commonly bought — our Rug Size Guide walks through how to pick the right length for your space.
Order Decora Runner Beige if the room is asking for a quiet, well-made foundation rather than a feature piece.
Common questions
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
How do I get rid of a stain?
Blot — never rub. Cool water and a small amount of mild detergent on a clean cloth handles most spills. Work from the outside of the stain in. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
Can I put a rug pad underneath?
Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
Can I steam clean this rug?
Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.
