Smooth, carved rugs in graphic, trendforward designs, combining neutral tones with a touch of blue, red and a soft, trendy green. The Aria collection offers supersoft rugs with a contemporary look that matches different styles of interior décor. These supple, low pile rugs with a 100% microset polypropylene pile are stain resistant and non-shedding.
If you are after a rug that does not announce itself, Aria Grey Red is a sensible place to start.
On the design
Worth a moment on the look of it. There's a reason grey has been the default neutral of the last decade — it forgives, it cools, and it lets coloured furniture and art read clearly above it. Up close you can see how the dye sits in the fibre — saturated, even, with none of the patchiness of a cheaper construction. It plays nicely with a low timber coffee table, a linen sofa, and the kind of considered clutter most lived-in rooms accumulate.
How it's made
In one line: Woven in Turkey. Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. We have lived with polypropylene rugs in our own homes for years. They survive children, vacuum cleaners, and the occasional small disaster without losing their shape. The 15mm pile gives this rug genuine softness underfoot — particularly good for a bedroom or a sitting room you actually want to sit on the floor in. The yarn count is dense enough that the pattern reads sharply without losing softness underfoot.
Day-to-day
It earns its keep in any room that has dark hardwood floors as a starting point. Care for this one as you would a hard floor — sweep or vacuum regularly and address spills when they happen. The fibre does the rest. We sell more of this style to families with school-age children than to any other group, which says something about how it lives.
On sizing
If you are between sizes, we almost always recommend sizing up. Our Rug Size Guide has the room-by-room measurements we use ourselves.
Aria Grey Red ends up in the kind of homes where pieces are kept rather than swapped — and that is the highest compliment a rug can earn.
Questions we get asked
Can I put a rug pad underneath?
Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
Does this rug ship rolled or folded?
Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
