The timeless, traditional design of our Casablanca collection imparts a sense of old world charm and charisma, while still appealing to modern taste. A range of warm colors and distressed texturing will look good and add character to any setting. However, don’t let this rug’s delicate beauty fool you into thinking it would be hard to care for; it’s absolutely easy to clean and is woven from ultra-strong Polypropylene fibers to give lasting durable wear while adorning your home in the most delightful manner.
We carry Casablanca Navy Cream Runner because the brief on it has not changed in five years: a calm, well-made rug that handles real life.
How it handles real life
It pairs especially well with warm timber floors and pale grey walls. Wipe spills with a damp cloth, vacuum on a regular setting, and rotate the rug end-to-end once a year. Nothing else is required. Pet hair vacuums out cleanly — the fibre does not hold dander the way a natural pile sometimes can. Rug pad underneath on a hard floor — that is the one accessory we would not skip.
How it looks
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. Cream-based rugs sit comfortably in almost any palette — they brighten without bleaching the room out. The design holds its proportions at every size we run — the medium and large sizes do not look like enlarged versions of the smaller piece. Layered with a leather chair, a brass floor lamp, and a stack of books, the rug holds its end of the conversation without forcing it.
About the make
Underneath the look, Belgian Wilton-woven. The Wilton tradition in Belgium produces rugs with extremely fine pattern detail — the kind of edge clarity that holds up under close inspection. What polypropylene gives up in heritage feel it more than makes back in colourfastness and easy upkeep. The pile is 11mm, which is what we'd call a true everyday pile — the kind of weight you want under a coffee table or a dining setting. The result is a rug that feels considered without crossing into precious territory.
Which size?
For hallways and galley kitchens, the 80x300cm length we run here is the most commonly bought — our Rug Size Guide walks through how to pick the right length for your space.
If you want a rug that quietly carries its weight for years, Casablanca Navy Cream Runner is the one to consider.
Questions we get asked
Can I steam clean this rug?
Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Will it sit flat once unrolled?
Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.
Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
