The Vermont collection offers elegant, long-lasting flatweave rugs crafted from premium polypropylene yarns in timeless natural hues. These rugs feature a sleek, natural sisal-like look and can be used both indoors and outdoors to protect floors and enhance ambiance. Their UV stabilization and low-maintenance design, simply hose off and air dry, make them a convenient choice for any setting.
Pick up a corner of Vermont Mint Green and the density of the weave is the first thing you'll register.
Construction
Underneath the look, Belgian Wilton-woven. Belgian weaving has a reputation for precision, and you can see it in the way the pattern sits on the surface of this rug. Modern polypropylene is a long way from the scratchy synthetic of twenty years ago. Soft underfoot, dense in the weave, and entirely washable. The pile is 7mm, which is what we'd call a true everyday pile — the kind of weight you want under a coffee table or a dining setting. Edges are bound and finished cleanly so they sit flat and stay flat.
On colour
Grey rugs sit quietly in a room and let the rest of the space do the talking — it's why they outsell almost everything else we carry. Look at the surface in different light through the day and the rug picks up subtle variations the photo doesn't quite catch. From the kitchen looking through to the lounge, the rug reads as a single grounding plane rather than a competing pattern.
Living with it
Built for indoor-outdoor use — the flat construction handles weather, the dye is UV-stabilised, and a hose-down sees off most of what an Australian summer can throw at it. Avoid steam, avoid bleach, avoid solvent cleaners. Cool water and mild detergent is the protocol our family uses on every poly rug we own. It holds its shape under a heavy sofa and shrugs off the small dents that lighter constructions can't recover from.
Sizing
Sizes range across our usual run — if you're unsure which to pick, our Rug Size Guide walks through the common Australian room layouts.
Vermont Mint Green ends up in a lot of finished rooms because it earns its place without insisting on it.
Things customers ask
Can I use this with underfloor heating?
Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.
Does this rug ship rolled or folded?
Rolled. We ship every rug in our range rolled and wrapped — folding can leave a crease in the pile that takes a few weeks to settle out, so we avoid it.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — we offer a clear returns window because we know a rug needs to be seen in the actual room. The details are on our returns page, and we'll talk you through it if anything is unclear.
Is the colour the same on both sides?
No — the pile side is the finished face. The reverse shows the construction and is usually a slightly different colour because the dye penetrates the surface rather than the entire fibre.
