Construction
Produced in Belgium. Belgian mills are the benchmark for machine-made design definition. The look is crisper than what you'd get from most other origins. Modern polypropylene is a long way from the scratchy synthetic of twenty years ago. Soft underfoot, dense in the weave, and entirely washable. The 12mm pile sits in the sweet spot for everyday living — soft enough to feel good underfoot, short enough that the vacuum gets right to the base. The back of the rug shows the construction clearly — close, even stitching, no slack spots, no thin patches.
How it handles real life
Day to day, we see this style most often under a dining table on tiled or concrete floors where some softness is needed underfoot. Care for this one as you would a hard floor — sweep or vacuum regularly and address spills when they happen. The fibre does the rest. Pet hair vacuums out cleanly — the fibre does not hold dander the way a natural pile sometimes can. Rolling vacuum, ride-on toys, the cat — none of it bothers the surface in any way you will notice.

Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?

How do I get rid of a stain?
