On the design
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. True white is a brave choice in a family home, but in the right room — a master bedroom, a low-traffic formal living space — nothing else has quite the same lift. Look at the surface in different light through the day and the rug picks up subtle variations the photo doesn't quite catch. Construction
At a glance: Belgian-woven. Belgian weaving has a reputation for precision, and you can see it in the way the pattern sits on the surface of this rug. The yarn here is solution-dyed polypropylene — the colour goes through the fibre rather than sitting on it, so a fade only happens after years in direct sun. At 6mm the pile is short and tight — the structure underneath is doing most of the work, which is what gives a flatweave its longevity. Selvedges are finished cleanly so the rug sits flush against itself without curling at the edges.

Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
