What's under the surface
Made in Turkey. We've worked with Turkish mills for decades — the country's heritage in rugs runs deep, and the power-loom programmes are some of the most consistent in the world. Polypropylene is the workhorse fibre of modern rugs — it doesn't absorb spills, it doesn't hold dust, and it bounces back from foot traffic faster than wool. This is a 18mm pile — soft, considered, with enough density to spring back from foot traffic without flattening. The back of the rug shows the construction clearly — close, even stitching, no slack spots, no thin patches.
Day-to-day
In practice, this is the kind of piece that works in family rooms that get hammered by feet, paws, and the occasional spilled drink. For everyday care, vacuum weekly and spot-clean spills as they happen — a damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent handles almost anything. Rotate the rug end-to-end every few months so foot traffic wears evenly across the surface.
On colour
The colour story matters here. Grey rugs sit quietly in a room and let the rest of the space do the talking — it's why they outsell almost everything else we carry. The design holds its proportions at every size we run — the medium and large sizes do not look like enlarged versions of the smaller piece. Common questions
Will the rug fade in direct sun?
Some fade is possible if a rug sits in direct, unfiltered sun day after day — that's true of any rug. The dyes used here are UV-stabilised and hold up well to the conditions in most Australian rooms.
Will this rug shed?
No, not in the meaningful sense. Synthetic pile is heat-set rather than spun from short staple fibres, so you may see a small amount of fibre in the first week and very little after that.
Do you offer samples?
We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.
Will the pattern repeat be obvious?
Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
