Our new exclusive Millard range are both focused on Contemporary & Modern tailored homes. Design and colours are both muted and soft, so if you are looking to give a hint of texture or a dash of colour, this could be just the thing to bring everything together.
We don't keep every rug we get offered, and Millard Beige Turquoise earns its place for a particular reason.
On colour
Worth a moment on the look of it. Beige is the most forgiving floor colour we carry — it hides dust, dog hair, and the small disasters of daily life better than almost any other shade. Visually, the rug is doing the work of a quiet anchor — not a pattern statement, not a punctuation mark, simply a calm plane underfoot. From above, the surface has a quiet visual rhythm — close up, the construction details start to show.
How it's made
Made in Turkey on power looms. Turkey remains the place where heritage design and modern weaving meet most comfortably — you get the look of a hand-knotted rug at a fraction of the cost. Lightweight, water-resistant, mould-resistant, and quietly comfortable underfoot — polypropylene is the rug fibre that does the most with the least. The 18mm pile gives this rug genuine softness underfoot — particularly good for a bedroom or a sitting room you actually want to sit on the floor in. The back of the rug shows the construction clearly — close, even stitching, no slack spots, no thin patches.
Picking the right size
Have a tape measure handy before you commit — our Rug Size Guide has the layouts most of our customers end up choosing.
Day-to-day
In practice, it earns its keep in any room that has limestone tiles as a starting point. Care for this one as you would a hard floor — sweep or vacuum regularly and address spills when they happen. The fibre does the rest. We have customers who have lived with the same rug for the better part of a decade. It still looks intentional.
Millard Beige Turquoise is the rug our family would buy for our own home — and a few of us have.
Questions we get asked
Will this rug shed?
No, not in the meaningful sense. Synthetic pile is heat-set rather than spun from short staple fibres, so you may see a small amount of fibre in the first week and very little after that.
How thick is the rug overall?
The total thickness includes the pile plus the backing — for most of our rugs, that ends up somewhere between 8mm and 30mm depending on the pile listed. If you need a precise figure for a door clearance, message us and we'll measure.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
How long does delivery take to my address?
Most metro orders arrive within 3–7 business days. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. We'll send tracking the moment your rug leaves the warehouse.
Does it work with a robot vacuum?
Yes for low and medium piles. For the deeper shaggies in our range, a robot vacuum will struggle a bit — you'll get better results with a regular upright on a higher setting.
