Pull Dahlia White Turquoise Runner out of its wrapping in your living room and the first thing that registers is the weight of it.

Day-to-day

It pairs especially well with pale oak floorboards and warm white interiors. Avoid steam, avoid bleach, avoid solvent cleaners. Cool water and mild detergent is the protocol our family uses on every poly rug we own. Pet-friendly in the most useful sense: claws won't catch the way they do on a looped pile, and the surface vacuums cleanly. We sell more of this style to families with school-age children than to any other group, which says something about how it lives.

On the design

What is happening at the surface is straightforward. There's a reason grey has been the default neutral of the last decade — it forgives, it cools, and it lets coloured furniture and art read clearly above it. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so it has real depth in the surface. We have laid this in rooms with bold artwork above and minimal furniture, and it sits comfortably in both.

How it's made

In one line: Made in Turkey on power looms. Turkey has been the centre of rug-making for centuries, and the power-loom tradition that came out of Anatolia in the late 20th century is what makes a piece like this possible at a sensible price. Lightweight, water-resistant, mould-resistant, and quietly comfortable underfoot — polypropylene is the rug fibre that does the most with the least. The 18mm pile gives this rug genuine softness underfoot — particularly good for a bedroom or a sitting room you actually want to sit on the floor in. The back of the rug shows the construction clearly — close, even stitching, no slack spots, no thin patches.

Picking the right size

For hallways and galley kitchens, the 80x300cm length we run here is the most commonly bought — our Rug Size Guide walks through how to pick the right length for your space.

Order with confidence: this is one of the pieces our customers most often write back to tell us about.

Questions we get asked

Do you offer samples?

We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.

Will the pattern repeat be obvious?

Not on this construction. The pattern is woven across the full face of the rug rather than printed, so you won't see the kind of seam-like repetition you sometimes get with a printed surface.

Can I use this with underfloor heating?

Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.

Will it sit flat once unrolled?

Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.

Does the rug have a strong smell when it arrives?

There may be a faint factory or packaging smell on opening — it airs out within a day or two. Lay the rug out, open the windows, and it will settle quickly.
