How it's made
Turkish-made. Turkey has been the centre of rug-making for centuries, and the power-loom tradition that came out of Anatolia in the late 20th century is what makes a piece like this possible at a sensible price. We have lived with polypropylene rugs in our own homes for years. They survive children, vacuum cleaners, and the occasional small disaster without losing their shape. At 10mm, this is a sensible everyday pile — substantial without being shaggy, easy to keep clean. Pile twist and density together are what give this piece the longevity that the warranty implies.
How it looks
Looked at honestly, the design is doing two things. A grey-toned rug is the easiest way to anchor a room without committing to a strong palette. The design holds its proportions at every size we run — the medium and large sizes do not look like enlarged versions of the smaller piece. In strong afternoon light the tones warm noticeably — in cooler southern light, the palette reads slightly more grounded.
Practical notes
Day to day, designed for patios, decks, and verandas. Leave it out year-round in most parts of Australia and it will hold its colour through the worst of the sun. For everyday care, vacuum weekly and spot-clean spills as they happen — a damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent handles almost anything. We have laid one of these under our own dining table for several years; it still reads as new.

Can I use this with underfloor heating?
Yes — the pile is not so dense that it traps heat, and the backing handles the moderate temperatures typical of residential underfloor systems.
Can I put a rug pad underneath?
Yes, and we'd recommend it on hard floors. A pad keeps the rug from slipping, adds a little extra softness underfoot, and helps the pile wear evenly over time.
Will the colour look the same as the website photo?
Very close, but never identical — every screen renders colour slightly differently, and the rug itself will read warmer or cooler depending on the light in your room. If you want certainty, message us and we'll send additional photos taken in natural light.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
Do you offer samples?
