Introducing the stunning silk touch rug, a luxurious addition to your home decor. This rug boasts a high low pile that adds depth and texture to any room. With its silk touch effect, it feels sumptuous underfoot, giving you a truly indulgent experience.
We do not over-stock; Rosalind Vintage Denim Runner stays in the range because customers keep coming back for the larger sizes.
Built and finished
Underneath the look, Turkish-made. Turkey has been the centre of rug-making for centuries, and the power-loom tradition that came out of Anatolia in the late 20th century is what makes a piece like this possible at a sensible price. Polyester pile carries a soft, slightly silken hand-feel — it's a step up in plushness from polypropylene without losing the easy-care benefit. This is a 13mm pile — soft, considered, with enough density to spring back from foot traffic without flattening. Construction-wise, this is built to look the same six months in as the day it arrived.
How it handles real life
In a real Australian room, among the rooms our customers describe to us, under a dining table on tiled or concrete floors where some softness is needed underfoot is the most common context for a piece like this. For shaggy polyester piles, vacuum on a higher setting (or with the beater bar off) and shake the rug out periodically. If you have a Roomba or similar, the pile here is short enough that it will get a proper clean without snagging.
On colour
We sell more cream rugs than any other colour. They suit the way most Australians live: warm-neutral walls, pale timbers, lots of natural light. The motif is restrained enough to sit under almost any furniture without competing. From above, the surface has a quiet visual rhythm — close up, the construction details start to show.
Which size?
For hallways and galley kitchens, the 80x300cm length we run here is the most commonly bought — our Rug Size Guide walks through how to pick the right length for your space.
Once Rosalind Vintage Denim Runner is laid, the room you've been trying to finish usually finishes itself.
Questions we get asked
Will it sit flat once unrolled?
Almost always within 24–48 hours. If you see any waves from the rolled packaging, lay the rug pile-up in the room and let it relax overnight — gravity does the rest. For stubborn corners, rolling the rug briefly in the opposite direction usually does it.
Can I cut the rug to size?
We don't recommend cutting a finished rug — the edges are bound and the construction relies on that binding to stay intact. If you need a custom size, message us and we'll see what's possible.
Do you offer samples?
We don't typically send physical samples — most of our customers find the photos and our written notes get them close enough. If you want extra photos in natural light, message us and we'll send them through.
Can I steam clean this rug?
Light steam is fine for synthetic pile. Avoid prolonged direct heat in one spot, and let the rug dry completely before walking on it.
Will it cope with kids and pets?
Yes, comfortably. Synthetic pile is stain-resistant, doesn't snag under claws, and lifts spills cleanly. It's the construction we recommend most to growing families.
